also kown as Bajpuri, Bhojapuri, Bhozpuri, Bihari, Deswali, Khotla,

Bhojpuri
is a direct descendent of Sanskrit '.
Although
Bhojpuri is not one of the established literary language of India,
it has a
strong tradition of oral literature (like Vedas have).
Status:
Due to long history of emmigration from the region, Bhojpuri has spread over
all Continents of the World.

World 25 M to 300 M Bhojpuri bho has Oral literatue,
Dishya-Shravya-Kavya, Audio-Visual-Art,
The
number of persons speaking Bhojpuri: varies between 25 million to 300 million.
This is primarily due to:
(a) Speakers as 1st language only, or 1st
and 2nd language.
(b) Most speakers of Bhojpuri in India are compelled to
exclude it in the Census even if it is their 1st or 2nd
language, particularly since Bhojpuri is not recognized by Government of India
so far.
(c) Government of India considers “Bhojpuri language” as a
dialect of Hindi and includes “Bhojpuri a 1200 year old language” as “Hindi a
180 yr old language”. Rediculous!!!
Itihaas: [History]:
Bhojpuri emerged during 240AD – 800AD in India mainly in parts of Nagpur
(Bhojpur, present Chattisgarh) to Bihar, and UP; and in Nepal; after 1800 AD
onwards migrated to different parts of the World which is still continuing.

Bhojpuri is the 6 th among the 15 most common languages of the World.
However,
it is not recognised till today by the non-working discriminatory UPA

Non-recgnition
of Bhojpuri Language by the Government of India is the Major impedement in its
normal growth.]
